Need Help?

The Sally Kate Winters Family Services Emergency Shelter Program provides shelter and crisis intervention services for abused, neglected, and homeless children. The emergency shelter program seeks to bring humanity, love, and respect into the lives of children during their time of crisis. Serving up to twelve children at any one time representing the ages of birth through seventeen, this program provides a wholesome, homelike environment for an up to 45-day placement.

Located in West Point, the program is available for children located in the thirteen county service area. Referrals for services represent the Mississippi Department of Human Services, Youth Courts, and Law Enforcement Officials. Emergency shelter services are also extended outside the targeted geographic area as a means of eliminating gaps in service for children within the state foster care system.
